EXCELLENT Based on 90 reviews Posted on Google Angie Williams What a beautiful day at Fattoria Majnoni Guicciardini in Vico d'Elsa. Cesare led our tour through the vineyards, and it was so much more than a typical wine tasting — he shared the history of the region, the area's war history, and his own family's deep ancestry here, plus the honest story of his own slow, almost reluctant path to becoming a wine expert. It made the whole afternoon feel personal rather than scripted, and genuinely fascinating. The views across the vineyard, looking over the river toward San Gimignano, were breathtaking. You could feel how much care and passion Cesare puts into protecting the land and the integrity of the wine — his commitment to organic, sustainable practices came through in everything he said, and it never felt like a sales pitch, just real conviction. One of the most special parts of the day was walking up into the streets of Vico d'Elsa to tour his family's historic home. Seeing where his roots actually are, in the town itself, added a layer of meaning you don't get at most wineries. Back at the estate, lunch and wine tasting in the beautifully modernized cellar was the perfect way to cap things off — a space that somehow preserves centuries of heritage while feeling completely current and state-of-the-art. Every course was thoughtfully prepared and paired perfectly with the wines, showcasing local Tuscan ingredients and flavors. Cesare made us feel like honored guests, not tourists. This was so much more than a winery visit — it was an unforgettable day of history, hospitality, food, and wine, and one of the most memorable experiences of our whole trip to Tuscany. Highly recommend Fattoria Majnoni Guicciardini to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing day in the Chianti countryside.Posted on Google Idania Dorta Our tour at Fattoria Majnoni was absulutely wonderful! Margherita did such a wonderful job at making us feel at home in the most beautiful vineyard and home. We were able to see the vineyards, the house, the garden, but most impressively the views from their hilltop vineyard in Vico D' Elsa. After the tour, we enjoyed their wonderful wines, olive oil, and cheeses, prosciutto. If that was not enough we enjoyed her freshly-made heart-shaped pasta. This was one of the best parts of our trip. I 100% recommend the activity!! Thank you Margherita! All our best :)Posted on Google Julia Morrison Brilliant, authentic wine tasting experience🍷We had a fabulous tour with Margherita, our lovely guide who made us so welcome. The location was stunning and the villa was full of interesting history. The highlight was, of course, the wine! We had a delicious lunch platter, full of local meats, cheeses and fresh bread - the perfect accompaniment to the wines. We’ve visited a few wineries, but Fattoria Majnoni Guicciardini was in a league of its own. It never felt like a tourist attraction. It felt like being welcomed into a family’s home and history. A huge thank you to Margherita, who was an absolutely incredible guide. Her passion, warmth and knowledge made the experience so engaging from start to finish. She brought the history of the estate and the winemaking process to life, answered every question with genuine enthusiasm, and made us feel like honoured guests rather than visitors. She is a real credit to the winery. The wines were exceptional (we’ll definitely be ordering some back home!), and the setting overlooking the Tuscan countryside is simply breathtaking. Every part of the experience, from the historic villa and cellars to the tasting itself, was thoughtfully put together and never felt rushed. If you’re looking for an authentic Tuscan wine experience with incredible hospitality, stunning scenery and genuinely passionate people, this is the place. Thank you again to Margherita and the entire team for giving us memories we’ll never forget. We’ll be recommending Fattoria Majnoni Guicciardini to everyone we know, and we can’t wait to come back. Posted on Google Lorenzo Borella We spent today at Fattoria Majnoni Guicciardini, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed like guests rather than tourists. A special thank you to Margherita, our fantastic guide, and Cesare, the owner, for sharing not only their wines but also their passion, their family history, and their vision. The guided tour through the historic wine cellars and the beautiful villa was fascinating. Every corner tells a story, and you can truly feel the heritage and love that has gone into this estate for generations. The wine tasting itself was exceptional. The wines are elegant, authentic, and full of character, perfectly accompanied by an incredibly generous selection of delicious local food. It was much more than a tasting—it felt like sitting at the table with friends. What impressed us most was the dedication of this young generation. In a world where so much wine production is becoming increasingly industrial and driven by chemistry rather than craftsmanship, it is inspiring to meet people who are genuinely committed to organic winemaking, innovation, and preserving authenticity. They are true pioneers, bringing fresh ideas while respecting tradition. If you are visiting Tuscany, do yourself a favour: book a tasting here, take the tour, and bring some of their wines home with you. By doing so, you’re not only buying excellent wine—you are supporting passionate people who are keeping the soul of Tuscan winemaking alive. Thank you, Margherita and Cesare, for giving us such a warm, memorable, and authentic day. We will definitely be back!Posted on Google Susan Mullen It was an eye opening experience. Made me appreciate the wine even more. It was an amazing tour and the hospitality was wonderful, not to mention the wine and food.Posted on Google K.
